Samsung RV511
I've had this laptop for about 2 weeks now, a couple of hours of use every day with no obvious faults, so far so good! When I purchased this laptop it was being sold by Amazon, though the current seller has it at around the same price. First impressions were very good, well packaged and included a windows recovery disc (Having read reviews about other laptops, these seem...

 Sticky space bar
This was easy to set up, looks very stylish, has a large, clear display and good battery life.

However there are a couple of niggles. As previous reviewers have said, there is no noise at all from the computer when it is on - except the keyboard! The banging of keys is rather loud! And the space bar needs to be hit towards the top in order for it to register a...

Who needs a MacBook Pro now?
I reviewed the latest 13" MacBook Pro shortly after it came out in February of this year and pronounced it the best 13" notebook computer money could buy. Well, its reign at the top was short-lived and the time has come to hand over its crown to its younger brother, the latest 13" MacBook Air.

Using Intel's advanced Core i5 and i7 Sandy Bridge processors the...

Great operating system, wide touch pad and speedy boot up times - you'll definitely enjoy using this computer...
I had to purchase my second MBA (Mid 2011 model) from Amazon, due to the first developing a thermal fault on the polymer that the screen is made from - apple warranty doesn't cover this, and the apple senior tech will claim that such cracking is cause by...
great product - apple sometimes don't care - beware

Well packaged and arrived quickly. Ok Review time. This is the first Mac that we (My wife and I) have ever owned. Takes a bit of getting used to and I don't know if it's better than Windows at this stage. I'm sure it's a great machine and does everything that windows can do, but takes a bit of practice and playing around with (As you do) to find out. Layout of the keyboard is well thought out as the spacing between the letters is designed in a way that you don't hit the wrong key by accident. It's practical also BUT DOESN'T FEEL SMALL which is surprising as it's only a 13" screen. Measurement of the screen horizontally is just shy of one foot and height is just over 7".

Obviously the width of the Mac is over that but as it's the screen size that's important. Maybe an important feature (I don't know) is that the keyboard lights up when in use....could be useful in bed whilst your partner is asleep and you don't want to disturb then too much. It is also very quiet; there's no noisy fans etc....Unless you're playing a movie or listening to itunes through the built in speakers.
It also feels robust and heavy for it's size and you can tell it's not made from plastic. It also looks good, but visit any Apple store or Stormfront and you'll see that............

In a word.....Awesome
The new lion OS X has transformed the MacBook pro into an even more intuitive experience, especially if you are familiar with the iPad. I am a new mac convert and up until now have only ever used PCs and my iPad and I have to say the transition to mac has not been daunting at all, but simplicity in itself.
I didn't know whether to go for this machine or the larger...

Great OS but not as well built as I had hoped.
Having owned and operated PCs since the early 90's I was looking to replace my laptop. I decided to stretch the budget and bought a 13" MacBook Pro (alternate was a Samsung Chronos or Dell XP15Z). The deciding factor for me was the aesthetics of the product along with a reputation for build quality and customer service/satisfaction. I admit I was intrigued to try out a...
